VNBusinessNews - Figures by the General Statistics Office (GSO) of Viet Nam show that the number of imported CBU (Completely Built-Up) automobiles reached 1,300, worth a total of US $ 27 million, in January of this year.
As well, according to estimates by the GSO, in February, the number of CBU automobiles was unchanged from January, with turnover value slightly higher at US $ 30 million.
With these figures, the import turnover of CBU cars in the first two months of this year is half of that just December of 2008 (US $57.3 million from a volume of 2,000 CBU automobiles ), and nearly 24.7% in volume and 27% in value down against the same period at the beginning of 2008.
