Businesses should boost marketing during recession
VNBusinessNews – A seminar entitled “Marketing in a Recession”, that dew the participation of botj domestic and international experts and economists was held on February 14th, in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the participants, during an economic recession, customers will lose their confidence, cut down their spending and only buy products of high competitiveness, good credit and with a well-known trademark.
As a result, businesses should seek ways to further promote their trademarks right away.
Referring to historical cases in other economies, experts and economists said that some trademarks boosted their marketing operations during economic recessions, while others did not; as a result, they could obtain a larger market share at costs much lower than in a normal economic situation.
In fact, quite a few companies and their trademarks have seized the good opportunity that the ongoing economic recession provides, and are making full use of the situation to gain considerable advantages in the domestic market, Professor Ho Duc Hung, the Director of the Economic Development Research Institute of the Ho Chi Minh City Economic University said at the seminar.
