Central Bank Sets USD/VND Exchange Rate At 16,980 on Feb 05
VNBusinessNews – Vietnam’s central bank set the dollar’s exchange rate a tad higher at VND16,980 Thursday.
The state-owned Vietcombank sold at VND17,489, compared with VND17,488 Wednesday.
Gold shops sold at VND17,690, down from 17,720 Wednesday.
The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. said in a monthly report released earlier this week that the authorities may set the exchange rate as high as VND18,500 this year in a bid to boost exports. (Dow Jones)
