VNBusinessNews - Viet Nam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) on February 23 announced the bank’s export support lending rate in dong at 0.9% a year.
This new lending rate benchmark will be officially applied from February 24.
Eximbank believed that thanks to the “lending rate subsidisation” programme with a very low lending rate, the bank can share and help enterprises overcome difficulties in the context of global financial crisis and economic recession.
Earlier on February 19, Eximbank launched two credit products to support exporters with the lowest lending rate at 1.4% per annum (after deducting for the subsidisation of 4% per annum).
After nearly two weeks of implementing the government’s demand stimulus package with a subsidisation lending rate of 4% a year, Truong Van Phuoc, Eximbank’s general director said that his bank received over 1,000 applications from the borrowers. Of which, Eximbank signed lending rate support contracts to lend with a total value of up to two trillion dong. Up to February 18, the lender had disbursed 978 billion dong.
