Ho Chi Minh City January CPI increased 0.04%
Ho Chi Minh City’s consumer price index (CPI) in January increased by 0.04% compared to the previous month. This is the first time since the fourth quarter of 2008, the CPI has seen a slight increase.
The two goods categories which saw decreases in prices were food and food services, down 0.08% and transport and post and telecommunications, down 4.41%.
Seven other groups of commodities saw increases, most notably the culture, sports and entertainment group, up 4.57%; drinks and cigarettes, up 1.76% and medicine and health care services, up 1.02%.
