HSBC Vietnam to continue to provide interest rates swap service
HSBC Viet Nam recently was licensed to continue providing the interest rate swap service (one of derivative tools that HSBC’s branches in HCM City and Hanoi previously supplied).
The foreign bank must be responsible for the service provision in line with the current laws on investment, indirect foreign investment into Viet Nam, foreign currency management, interest rate, risk prevention, capital adequacy ratio and other related regulations.
HSBC Viet Nam was granted the establishment license last September and started operations from January 5, 2009 with the registered capital of three trillion dong.
As planned, the bank will open seven more transaction offices within this quarter at Sun Red River building, Asia Building and Serena in Hanoi, Dist 7, Saigon Financial Centre and E-Town in HCM City.
