Lam Dong pours big sum into strategic routes
The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong plans to invest nearly 1.5 trillion VND (85 million USD) in five strategic routes in 2009.
Of those, a 31km route linking remote Loc Bac commune in Bao Lam district and Con O commune in Da Teh district will be built at a cost of 500 billion VND.
Lam Dong will also pour 300 billion VND in upgrading Road No. 721, which connects the province’s southern districts and 400 billion VND in constructing Da Lat city’s 19km beltway.
Huynh Duc Hoa, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said that the construction of the five traffic routes will not only meet local people’s travel demand but also serve socio-economic development of the province and the Central Highlands region as well.
