Ministry denies request to raise gas and oil prices
VNBusinessNews – The Ministry of Finance denied a request by gasoline and oil wholesalers to increase fuel prices Wednesday.
The ministry responded after receiving letters from Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation and five other wholesalers asking the ministry to allow them to raise prices.
The Ministry of Finance agreed a Ministry of Industry and Trade decision that wholesalers should not increase gasoline and diesel oil prices and should instead keep a close eye on global prices.
The Ministry of Finance will allow wholesalers to delay repaying government loans due in February and March while it considers adjusting import taxes.
