New seismic vessel coming up for PVEP
PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corp. (PVEP) is expected to add a 2-D seismic vessel to its operating fleet in Viet Nam next January.
The vessel will be handed to Nordic Maritime for final fitting at a Singapore shipyard before setting sail for Vietnam. The 2-D seismic vessel was converted from a fishing trawler named Pavlovsk at Cochin Shipyard in India. Delivery is now expected in end-December.
Nordic Maritime was awarded a contract worth US$30 million by PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corp. (PVEP) to provide complete project management and supervision for the conversion work. The vessel will be sold to PVEP upon delivery from the shipyard.
