Party leader asks Thua Thien-Hue to prevent deflation
Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh asked Party organisation of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue to focus on preventing deflation and ensuring social welfare in guiding socio-economic development in 2009.
The Party leader made the remark while working with the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on Jan. 16 and 17 during his tour of central provinces .
He said, Thua Thien-Hue needs to focus investment in infrastructure and pay more attentions to difficult areas in 2009. Besides boosting exports, the province should exploit well the domestic market.
Over the past three years, the province obtained an average growth of 13% with services, up over 13%, industry, over 20% and agriculture, 4%.
The province built more than 9,500 houses worth 110 billion VND for poor people, including houses for 600 poor households in Tam Giang lagoon. (VNA)
