Phase 1 construction on SITV port starts
China Harbour Engineering Co (CHEC) on Monday broke the ground on Saigon Viet Nam International Port (SITV) in Phu My I Industrial Zone, Ba Ria Vung Tau province’s Tan Thanh Dist.
SITV project was broken into three bid packages by the EPC contractor CHEC. The construction time is estimated to take 1,023 days (finished by 2011).
Total construction value is US$163.3 million.
The container port is designed to cover 33.7 hectares.
