Russian experts to inspect Vietnam
VNBusinessNews – The Quality Control Department for Agricultural, Forest and Aquatic Products under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that Russia will send experts to inspect several aquatic products processing factories in Viet Nam.
The inspection, to be undertaken by Russian experts from February 21st to 29th, while help point out any mistakes by relevant Vietnamese authorities and business, and provide them with solutions.
Russia has banned the importation of aquatic products from Vietnam since December of last year, after several mistakes were made by Vietnamese businesses.
Once the Russian experts undertaking the inspection are satisfied that Vietnamese businesses are making good on their shortcomings, Russia will consider resuming the importation of aquatic products from Vietnam.
Russia is a big market for Vietnamese aquatic products. Last year, Tra catfish exported to Russia accounted for 13% of the USD 1.453 billion export turnover of the aquatic products. (Tien Phong)
