Sharp recalls 2,000 TVs
Electronics company Sharp and distributor Mitsui Vietnam on Monday announced a recall of more than 2,000 imported cathode-ray tube TV sets with suspect switches.
The recall is for: model 21S-FX10V with serial numbers M807512614 and M809516007; model 29S-FX10V with serial numbers M807511212 and M808511691 (sold since August 2008); model 29L-FG1BV with serial numbers C808512390 and C808512641; and model 29Q-FG1V with serial numbers C808512239 and C808512370 (sold in the market since September 2008).
The fault may damage the TV or, in some cases, cause it to overheat.
