Vietnam-China Trade Hits US$21 Bln in 2008
Bilateral trade between Viet Nam and China jumped to US$21 billion in 2008, much nearer the target of US$25 billion set for 2010 by the two countries, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said.
Dung told Chinese newly-accredited ambassador, Sun Guoxiang, that bilateral friendship and cooperation ties are developing in all aspects, particularly Chinese investment inflows jump fast.
Vietnam-Sino ties witnessed a landmark point when the two sides announced completion of disputed border of 1,400 kilometer last year and will sign a protocol on the issue soon.
The two sides also vowed to build a border of friendship, long-term stability and peace.
Currently, Hanoi and Beijing are in process of waters delineation off Tonkin Gulf.
