Vietnam Premier To Visit United Arab Emirates
VNBusinessNews – Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates this month to boost commercial and trade ties, the government said Thursday.
The four-day visit, scheduled to start Feb. 16, will be the first visit to the UAE by a member of the Vietnamese government since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1993, said foreign ministry spokesman Le Dung.
During the trip, the two sides are expected to sign a number of agreements to aid investment and business, he said. He declined to give further details.
The prime minister of the oil-rich country, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed al-Maktoum visited Vietnam in September 2007.
Vietnam’s main exports to the UAE include foodstuffs, furniture, coffee, tea, spices, tobacco, fruits, electrical equipment and machinery. It imports oil seeds, plants and plastics. (AFP)
