Vinashin’s revenue reaches over 32.5 trillion dong
Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group or Vinashin reported that it reached nearly 36.837 trillion dong of total output value, over 32.538 trillion dong in 2008, jumping 39% and 48% against the previous year.
Also, the group’s earnings from exporting industrial products (including ships, steel, container cover) in 2008 surpassed US$500 million.
According to Vinashin’s statistics, 10% of contracts were cancelled and 40% extended.
As planned, by March 2009, KPMG will announce audited results for Vinashin’s fiscal year with detailed figures on total assets and profit.
Vinashin’s 2008 profit is estimated at 860 billion dong against 2007′s 721 billion dong.
