Vinatex targets to boost productivity
VNBusinessNews – Viet Nam National Garment and Textile Corporation (Vinatex) is undertaking a series of measures to upgrade its factory equipment as a means of increasing its productivity by around 10-15%, Vu Duc Giang, the Corporation’s CEO recently accounced.
Vinatex also plans to boost its presence in its tradition export markets, such as the U.S, EU and Japan, while at the same time launching a number of trade promotion programs in new markets, such as the Middle East and Africa, and other potential markets in Eastern Europe.
Vinatex has recently lowered its export targets for 2009 to US$1.75 billion, a slight increase of US$150 million over the previous year. According to Giang, most of the Corporation’s subsidiaries have so far signed export agreements with international partners for smaller orders than usual. (TT)
