Ho Chi Minh City – Manulife Vietnam, a leading life insurance provider, today announced that it has received the ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system.  The certificate is the most widely recognized international standard for quality management systems, and marks an important step in maintaining Manulife Vietnam’s leadership position in the industry.

ISO 9001:2008 is accepted worldwide as the standard that defines quality management.  Certification indicates that an organization conforms to a quality management system that can consistently provide a product or service that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements. Manulife Vietnam’s quality system was assessed by Bureau Veritas Certification, the global certification leader in the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility fields.

Since January 2011, Manulife Vietnam has invested significant resources in developing and standardizing operational procedures to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 standards, and ensuring that quality control processes are carried out in a uniform manner across the business.  After nine months of hard work, the company’s quality assurance system now fully meets the criteria of ISO 9001:2008.
