New Years 2011 Celebration in St Barts
Yet another year is flying by, and we will soon be celebrating New Years 2011. When you look at the history of New Years it is celebrated as far back as 2000 years ago in the time of the Emperor’s. Celebrated by nearly every country around the world people mark the first day of the year in various ways. For some countries, January 1 is not the first day of their calendar year. St Bart’s is becoming more intriguing for those who travel as they learn of it unique history. Officially called St. Barthelemy name in the honor of Bartolomeo brother of Christopher Columbus, who is said to have founded St. Bart’s on his travels in 1493. The small island with a population of just six thousand nine hundred located in the Caribbean is popular destination for the warm climate that can be experienced regardless of when you choose to travel.
French is the official language spoken however;you need not worry if you’re traveling, because you also find many English speakers. Consider it a very upscale island. It is known to be visited by many famous names over the years. A duty free city that is said to have some of the most gorgeous buildings and incredible boutiques for shopping the small island draws many people around the world so if you’re considering traveling this year consider making same parts, one of your stops.
